From creating Beyoncé’s custom look to appointing K-pop star Taeyong as brand ambassador, Loewe has been going from strength to strength in 2023. Now it has topped Lyst Index’s list of hottest brands

Loewe has been declared the hottest brand in the world in the second quarter of 2023 by Lyst Index, the London-based fashion technology and premium shopping platform on July 20.

This is a first for the Spanish luxury brand helmed by fashion designer Jonathan Anderson. According to Lyst, several factors contributed to its top ranking: the release of the maison’s summer collection of outfits and accessories titled Paula’s Ibiza 2023; the creation of custom looks for Beyonce’s Renaissance world tour; and the 2023 Loewe Foundation Craft Prize that celebrates artisans.

What’s more, Loewe appointing South Korean rapper and NCT member Lee Taeyong—who goes by Taeyong—as its latest global brand ambassador in June also contributed to its popularity.

Lyst compiles this ranking of luxury lifestyle brands and products on a quarterly basis, based on data on shoppers’ behaviour, including searches on and off Lyst’s platform, product views, sales and social media mentions.

According to Lyst, searches for Loewe have increased by 19 per cent in Q2 of 2023, driven by the popularity of items such as the Anagram tank top—which was worn by Kylie Jenner and which became the top-ranked product this quarter— and the Loewe raffia tote bag, which came fourth.

The list also includes Prada, which hosted the Prada Frames Symposium in Milan; Versace, which launched the Versace La Vacanza summer collection of clothes and accessories co-designed with Dua Lipa; Miu Miu, which released the Arcadie bag campaign with Gigi Hadid; and Bottega Veneta, which named BTS’s RM as its brand ambassador.
