Salcedo Auctions is holding a sale of Fine Jewelry & Timepieces, presenting a wide selection of high quality pieces on Sunday, March 12 at 2pm.

Our first fine jewelry and timepieces sale of 2017 opens with the color of the year–– green, with three scintillating emerald pieces: a 10.69 ct deep green Colombian emerald and diamond sautoir, a fine emerald and diamond serpentine necklace, and from the celebrated house of Cartier an 18k yellow gold and emerald “Elephant” demi-parure. The sale will feature elegant colored gemstones such as a pair of Art Deco-style diamond and amethyst pendant earrings, and an approximately 19 ct tanzanite cabochon ring framed by vivid yellow and white oval cut diamonds. A large collection of rare diamond pieces will also go under the hammer, including a GIA certified 6.08 ct fancy light yellow radiant cut diamond ring, a pair of diamond cluster earclips, and a graduated diamond cluster tassel necklace. Of exceeding rarity is a GIA certified 9.33 ct solitaire emerald cut diamond ring set in platinum.

Highlights of our timepieces collection include rare Rolex watches such as a Daytona Reference 6263 in yellow gold and an important and extremely rare Rolex 5513 Military Submariner Circa 1970s. Never intended for public sale, this watch was made for the British Royal Navy and it is estimated that only a few hundred survive today. Grand complications are represented by a mint Patek Philippe Reference 5140 perpetual calendar in white gold, complemented by an elegant Patek Philippe annual calendar in yellow gold.

This sale also features several limited editions from various watch houses including an Audemars Piguet Millenary Maserati Dual-Time created in commemoration of the 90th anniversary of Maserati, an IWC special boutique edition Big Pilot Perpetual Calendar limited to 250 pieces, and a Panerai Luminor 1950 10 Days GMT “Paris” edition of which only 20 pieces were produced worldwide. Other elegant modern and vintage watches sure to rouse collectors include an iconic Patek Philippe reference 3445, the first automatic wrist watch with a date function from Patek, and a fine Lange 1 with a blue dial by A. Lange & Söhne. A Rolex Tridor Datejust, Patek Philippe 24, Cartier Tank Americaine, and vintage diamond cocktail watches are just some of the pieces to expect from our ladies collection.
