The Calendula is a flower that has varied uses. Traditionally utilised in the field of natural medicine, on garlands for royal families, even in dining and culinary fields — the yellow flower has long been sought-after for many purposes. It has also been used in the field of beauty as it is known for it's anti-inflammatory and moisturising effects.
In the 1960's, skincare brand Kiehl's released what would be come one of their best-selling products, the Calendula Herbal Extract Toner. It's fresh aroma and visible petals in the formula make for an incredibly refreshing toner for any skin type. Due to its popularity, the brand decided to expand the range, later on launching the Deep Cleansing Foaming Face Wash in 2014 and a matching Soothing Hydrating Mask in 2017.
