Lady Kitty Spencer, oldest child of Charles Spencer, the 9th Earl Spencer, and the niece of the late Princess Diana, has been appointed global ambassador of Dolce & Gabbana. Spencer, who is also the first cousin of Prince William and Prince Harry, is a longtime friend of the Italian brand, and has walked in several of the fashion house's runway shows, including Alta Moda in 2018 and the spring 2019 show in Milan (shown, above).

"I am truly honoured to be appointed as Global Ambassador for Dolce & Gabbana," she said in a statement. "Domenico and Stefano celebrate life’s wonders; family, joy, beauty, colour and love. Working with them is always a new experience, a unique opportunity to rediscover Italian culture, art, savoir-faire and lifestyle. When I wear their pieces I feel their passion and I feel like the best version of myself."

Born in London, Spencer grew up in Cape Town, South Africa, where she later studied at the University of Cape Town. In early 2020, it was announced that she is engaged to marry Michael Lewis, chairman of the Foschini Group, a South African retail company.

Spencer is Dolce & Gabbana's first official global ambassador.

"We are delighted to welcome Kitty into our big family," Dolce and Gabbana said in a statement. "Her charisma and radiance struck us right away. Seeing her wearing our creations, and interpreting them with her style, is always a great feeling for us."
