After showing its 2019 collection in Saint-Paul-de-Vence, in the South of France, Louis Vuitton will jet off to New York to stage its Cruise 2020 fashion show. The fashion house's creative director of women's collections, Nicolas Ghesquière, announced the news on social media.

The world tour of Cruise collections looks set to continue in 2019. As the first fashion house to unveil its next destination, Louis Vuitton will be inviting guests to the Big Apple to showcase its Cruise 2020 collection. The show will take place on May 8.

Although Nicolas Ghesquière revealed the show's city and date, the designer did not disclose the event's exact location. However, the fashion house has form when it comes to choosing settings steeped in art, culture and symbolism.

Louis Vuitton chose the Marguerite and Aimé Maeght Foundation in Saint-Paul-de-Vence as the location for its 2019 mid-season collection show, following last year's Cruise 2018 show at the Miho Museum in Japan.
