In the words of Al Pacino’s character Tony Montana, “Say hello to my little friend.” Only, Jacob & Co’s latest creation isn’t actually my friend, because there are only 176 Opera Scarface watches in the world and, starting at US$330,000, they are out of my budget. Here at Tatler Asia, we’d like to take some credit for the new gangster-themed timepiece. In an interview with founder Jacob Arabo just last year, we asked him who he’d love to design a watch for. “Al Pacino,” he replied, without hesitation. “Now that I’m thinking about it, I’m going to give him a call. I don’t know him personally, but I know somebody who does.” You’re welcome, collectors everywhere. Now, where’s our cut...

Omega has added to its existing Trésor collection, which is one of the watchmaker’s leading ladies’ lines. Available in 36 and 39 mm, this latest set of watches incorporates Omega’s 18-karat Moonshine gold, which is a pale yellow metal that was most memorably used to design the Speedmaster Apollo 11 Anniversary Limited Edition. Two stainless-steel models are also available—one with light-pink hour markers—and come with mother-of-pearl dials. Asymmetrical rows of diamonds frame each watch’s bezel and lugs, adding a touch of femininity to an already ladylike design.

MB&F and H Moser & Cie have come together to launch a series of futuristic watches. Limited to 15 pieces each, the first two timepieces have been unveiled by the companies’ founders. The Endeavour Cylindrical Tourbillon MB&F x H Moser adopts MB&F’s signature raised tourbillon movement and tilted face, which is combined with Moser’s graduated colour dials. The Legacy Machine 101 MB&F x H Moser, meanwhile, showcases a suspended flying balance wheel, which powers the watch as you wear it. Decisions, decisions...

Yiqing Yin has collaborated with Vacheron Constantin as part of the high-end watchmaker’s One of Not Many campaign. The Chinese haute couture designer champions the brand’s elegant Egérie collection, a new line of watches that launched in February dedicated entirely to women. Yin, a Beijing native, moved to France at the age of four, and later studied at the prestigious École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris. She made headlines in 2015 when she became a full-fledged member of Paris’s elite coterie of haute couture creators, which is a designation protected by French law.
