He speaks candidly about his depression and how photography saved him. His unveiled pieces in "A Beautiful Tragedy" expresses darkness and rising from failures, as shared by Suayan. "Fashion photography has always been my passion, but I guess we need something new and current. Fashion has only one direction and it is forward, same with fashion photography; and that is what I'm doing now," exclaims Suayan. In the feature, he shared that he will be having his second solo show entitled See Through Me somewhere outside the Philippines.

Though generally he learned photography on his own, he took a cue from more tenured photographers attending their workshops and trainings, including those of Raymund Isaac and Manny Librodo. Discovered by Jed Root in 2014 while he was a street photographer, he made his mark in the fashion industry as a creative force. Now, he conducts his own workshops in the Philippines, Singapore and Hong Kong.

Suayan has shot the covers of Philippine Tatler's 2017 Ball Issue, 2017 Design Issue and our upcoming 2018 Ball Issue. He also frequents our pages in key fashion spreads. He is also part of our 2017 "50 New Fashion Influencers" list.
