The consummate women’s label takes on the fight against breast cancer through fabulous fashions

World-class Filipino designer Pia Gladys Perey lends her power in the fight against breast cancer. Her weapon? Her namesake brand’s classic and stylish dresses.

Renowned as a label that celebrates the power of the woman, Pia Gladys Perey (PGP) served as the proud headliner of the first Better Together Gala in New York City. PGP stood as a solid partner of the ‘Better Together Gala And Fashion Show Fundraiser’ in its goal of raising awareness about breast cancer, supporting patients, survivors and their families, and raising vital funds for the foundation’s programs.

Onboard to execute to perfection the brand’s vision for the affair was a Filipino team. Rising fashion show director Yancy Trinidad and noted stylists Patrick Guillemer and Paz Padilla display their talent and expertise for the fashion show. For this noble cause, PGP presented a stunning array of classy, timeless dresses from its SS17 collection.

Staying true to her brand philosophy, Pia had runway models and cancer survivors’ alike walk for the fashion show. Being a cancer survivor herself, Pia featured four breast cancer survivors during her presentation. She honored them by presenting the dresses they wore as gifts from her label. Similarly, Pia donated four special gowns to the fashion auction, which sold out in a matter of minutes.

With this fashion coup as another feather to her cap, Pia proudly shares, “As a female CEO, I am proud to stand with the Better Together Gala. Growing a brand for women, I choose to champion this cause that’s close to my heart and women the world over. I want to make sure that in my own small way, I am able to help create more awareness through my craft by embracing the strength of every woman who fights the battle with the big C.”

Earning rave reviews for her stand-out collection and a standing ovation during her curtain call for the gala, there is no doubt Pia Gladys Perey is fighting the good fight against breast cancer—and she’s doing it in style.
