Just check out what Generation T lister 2017 Angelo Estrera’s nuptials to the love of his life, Nikki. In particular, what stands out to Angelo and Nikki was being surrounded by loved ones, especially those from far away who put in the miles to be with them.  “Everywhere I turned, we bumped into family and friends for days,” she said “We had a ‘festival’ of fun in the sun  with over 100 friends and family who flew in from Manila, Singapore, Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Los Angeles, New York and Dallas,” said Nikki.

The Estreras chartered a boat and showed guests a view of Boracay from the ocean. Guests also enjoyed some joy rides along the shores of the island on their very own branded paraws. “Something we believe to be a especially unique in Boracay – the guests loved it,” said Nikki. She highly recommends a destination wedding. “Absolutely – it’s great having everyone together for more than just one night. I had a long time to dream up my big day, while I was waiting around for the man of my dreams.

Many times I would share my ideas and they would bring it to life and put it into action, which was wonderful. So the event planning and logistics was fully and superbly managed by the Shangri-La team. Our day was meticulously planned and managed (in partnership with the wonderful team at Boracay Weddings by Amanda Tirol), but this moment just happened naturally and was such a fun way to get everyone into the spirit of the party to come."

Nikki Estrera’s tips for brides-to-be : "Don’t get sunburnt before the big day! Think about your wardrobe across the full length of the holiday, not just the ceremony and reception. Make sure you allow for a little bit of time out for you and your husband-to-be to take it all in (don’t run in opposite directions the whole time in order to catch up with all of your guests). Remember to think of a Plan B for everything. It’s not just about if it will rain or not – think along the lines of emergency safety pins!

Absolutely it was a stunning setting, all of our guests had a wonderful time. We love the Shangri-La because of the multitude of settings and areas within the property that you can enjoy, and the kids club was fantastic for our little guests. The property is also secluded enough to enjoy the serenity and beauty of the ocean, but it’s so easy to make your way to the excitement of White Beach. The staff are incredibly friendly and couldn’t have been more helpful to Angelo and me. It’s our most favourite place in the world and we were so grateful to share it with our loved ones.”

Here’s yet another Generation T lister wedding. Vania Romoff, Gen T lister 2016 and 2017 recently wed Steven Füglister: The intimate Romoff-Fuglister nuptials transpired over three fun and fabulous days.

“We fell in love with the place. The exclusivity of the place and how it's part of Boracay but somehow secluded,” said Vania.

Styed by Teddy Manuel, says Vania of the theme, “We wanted it to be very Filipino as I especially as most of our guests are flew in from Switzerland and saw the Philippines for the first time. The reception after party and the buko “station” was a nice touch for guests.
