For Cruise 2017, Jimmy Choo’s Creative Director, Sandra Choi has concocted a powerfully potent feast of accessories designed to sate the appetites of both wearer and watcher. Rich layers of color, embellishment and decoration expressed via faultless fabrication combine to create a collection that simultaneously provokes and enchants. 

“I was thinking about that giddy delight you see in children when they choose from a tray of sweets I wanted there to be sense a showmanship and an irresistible boldness throughout the Cruise season. Our Capsule Collection allows you to express a new level of individuality through your shoes. Choose the shoe or bag that fits your mood and pick from a tempting menu of jeweled and fur pompom treats to play with. Designing and creativity are my passions and I wanted to give our clients the chance to share this wonderful experience,” says Sandra Choi.

As part of the Cruise line up, Jimmy Choo unveils a Capsule Collection that invites you to choose not just the shoes but the decoration too.

There will be three variations on customization with each one offering the opportunity to personalize and instantly transform accessories with an irresistible suite of jeweled decorations crafted from Swarovski crystals.

Floral and vintage star inspired button charms pop onto pointy toe pumps, platforms and bags; pearl, diamanté and fur pompom brooches clip on to flats and ankle strap pumps as well as sliding onto clutch clasps; a statement crystal necklace adorns the foot as an attention grabbing bijoux strap detail on the REIGN heeled satin pump.

The main Cruise collection comprises a manna of showpiece dishes including an abstracted camo-floral pattern in blue, dark purple, yellow and lilac - a camouflage for elegantly standing out rather than anonymously blending in. With some styles, the pattern is garlanded with sinuous twists of Swarovski crystal: an extra dusting of visceral visual va-va-voom.

The collection celebrates the reclamation of the platform. Presented as a suede and metallic nappa layer-cake of colors in a spectrum of berry shades with gold detail and blue to green hues with silver detail, the MAX (open-toed) and the MACY (round-toed) are a classic rediscovered. Choi has refined, reinvented, and then enriched to make the platform more delicious than ever before counter-balanced with a slim, tapered heel.

Other new delicacies within the collection include the JAZZ, a pointy pump decorated with apple and lilac camo-flower satin and punctuated with a dusting of Swarovski crystals that lends a textural dimension. DUNDEE is a block heeled round toe shoe with cage strap detail framing the leg from calf to ankle in silvery mirrored leather or black.

KEELY is a flirtatiously feminine open toe mule in silk satin concoctions with an oversized knotted design across the foot. GRACE is a pretty ankle-strapped ballerina flat with a grosgrain trim and ankle ties presented in a delectable variety of colors including acid yellow, anthracite and poppy. 

The VICKY pump has a playful yet modern silhouette with a 30mm block heel and elegant almond toe that charms in camo-flower satin, glitter or suede. The MABEL is this season’s perfect party shoe featuring a modern tonal block metallic heel with delicate ankle strap fastening, cutaway sides and a refined almond toe in rose gold mirror, navy and glitter finishes.

The CANDY clutch bag captures the playful and irresistible spirit of the collection: rendered in a confectionary palette and emblazoned with bon mots - I WANT CHOO, CHOOs ME, ONLY CHOO. The CELESTE bag with signature Jimmy Choo script clasp opening is adorned with mouth-watering multi-colored jeweled crystals.
