As Omega releases a Seamaster Diver 300M to celebrate the 50th anniversary of On Her Majesty's Secret Service, we look back at some of Bond's most iconic wristwatches
That’s right: It’s been 50 years since the release of On Her Majesty’s Secret Service. Feeling old, yet? To celebrate, Omega has unveiled a very special 42mm Seamaster Diver 300M in stainless steel, limited to 7,007 pieces.
The 50th Anniversary’s ceramic dial depicts the view-down-the-barrel which infamously opens the credit sequence of James Bond movies, and the number seven on the date ring uses the same typeface as the iconic 007 logo.
In another nod to the secret agent, the limited edition's 12 o’clock marker is a stylised representation of Bond’s family’s coat of arms, which was first seen in the 1969 film. In every other way, the Seamaster stays true to the line’s DNA with a co-axial escapement, a helium escape valve and a Master Chronometer certification.
