Jewelmer opened last Sept. 27 at Rustan’s the Silver Vault Makati, establishing its presence alongside acclaimed names in international high jewelry. Gracing the grand opening are the founders and executives of both Rustan’s and Jewellemer, in the company of patrons and members of the press.

Celebrating its 65th anniversary this year, Rustan’s has become the prominent retail chain in the Philippines, offering an array of prestigious brands to its growing local clientelle. With the launch of Jewelmer in the Silver Vault, Rustan’s will now be carrying the country’s very own national gem, the South Sea pearl.

Almost four decades after the luxury jewelry brand was established in 1979, Jewelmer has expanded its presence in over 15 countries around the world, with 13 free-standing concept boutiques here in the Philippines.

“Jewelmer has made its mark in the local jewelry market, with a body of exquisite work that has [expressed] creativity, beauty, and elegance,” says Michael Huang, Rustan Commercial Corporations’ Vice President for Store Development and Expansions. “Its discerning clientelle has spread across social circles in the Philippines. Jewelmer creations can often be seen worn proudly by their owners and on the society pages of newspapers and magazines. These inherent qualities attracted Rustan’s to invite Jewelmer.”

To celebrate the launch, guests at the event were treated to Cibo’s sumptuous fare, and one of the guests, Hiroko Otsuka, won a Les Classiques golden pearl pendant in a special raffle draw.
