A skincare expert gives us the lowdown on a wonder ingredient called Lumidose and La Prairie’s latest solution for getting a natural glow: White Caviar Crème Extraordinaire
La Prairie Focus
Perfectly luminous skin with no discolourations and flaws—isn’t that what every girl wants? Dr Daniel Stangl, who has been La Prairie’s director of innovation since 1993, has been studying the effects of UV rays and melanin formation in the human skin.
After 15 years of research that included screening more than 50,000 different ingredients, his team finally uncovered a potent solution to age spots and uneven pigmentation, which he now shares with the world with the launch of La Prairie’s White Caviar Crème Extraordinaire. We spoke with him in Hong Kong to discover more:
What does White Caviar Crème Extraordinaire do?
White Caviar Crème Extraordinaire is a lavish firming face cream infused with a potent brightening ingredient called Lumidose that fights the appearance of discolouration and age spots like never before.
Offering measurable results in two weeks, visible results in four weeks and extraordinarily results in eight weeks, White Caviar Crème Extraordinaire contributes to a marked reduction in the visibility and intensity of age spots, improves the appearance of dull, hyper-pigmented skin, while leaving the skin looking firmer and refined in texture. Skin feels softer, smoother and suppler.
How does Lumidose work?
Lumidose is the most potent inhibitor of human tyrosinase known today. Tyrosinase is an enzyme responsible for the production of melanin, the brown pigment in the skin. Excessive production of melanin can result in excessive pigmentation leading to discolouration and age spots.
The optimised concentration of Lumidose combined with other active brightening ingredients in White Caviar Crème Extraordinaire helps to reach the source of discolouration, providing an extraordinary brightening effect and an even and radiant complexion, in a way that has not been possible in the past.
