The exhibition in ION Orchard in Singapore charts Cartier's inventiveness in watch designs
With the resurgence of interest in the Tank and Crash watches, it is timely that Cartier is showcasing its remarkable savoir faire in watch design from now until February 2, 2024, in ION Orchard, Singapore.
Held at Le Salon Cartier on Level 3 of its boutique, the Cartier ‘A Journey Through Time’ exhibition features 23 unique watches from the Cartier Collection ranging from a 1925 Tank L.C. in platinum and white and yellow gold, one of the first Tank L.C.s, to a 1983 Cheich watch that was given as a prize to the female winner of the Rally of Paris-Algeria-Dakar.

The Cartier Collection was started in 1973 to gather a selection of jewellery, watches, and precious accessories made by Cartier that highlights its singular expertise in design and aesthetics. Think the asymmetrical shape of Crash and the Cartier Pebble, which looks exactly like its name suggests.
The first item acquired for the Cartier Collection was a Portique mystery clock from the 1920s. Today, the Cartier Collection comprises over 3,000 pieces, with the oldest piece dating back to 1860.
“Cartier timepieces are known for their incredible shapes. We attribute this to the culture of design the maison has developed throughout its 170-year history," says Anne Yitzshakov, Cartier managing director, Singapore, Malaysia and Asean.
