Our picks of the most outstanding exhibits at the marquee haute horlogerie event

This year’s Geneva Watch Days was held from August 29 to September 1 and saw a stunning showcase from around 40 revered luxury watch brands. The event saw a series of exhibitions unveiling horological advancements taking place across hotels and boutiques alike in the watchmaking capital of the world.

The concept first began in 2020, originally as a collaboration between seven luxury watch brands—Bulgari, Breitling, De Bethune, H Moser & Cie, MB&F, Ulysse Nardin and Urwerk—to combat the effects of Covid-19 on the watchmaking industry. Other brands have since joined the initiative.

Take a look below at Tatler’s picks of the most outstanding pieces on show at this year’s event.

The red-gold streamliner is powered by the brand’s in-house automatic calibre with flying tourbillon. The dial of the watch is coated with a registered Vantablack material that is inspired by materials used in aeronautics. The darkest black to ever appear on the dial of a watch, it absorbs 99.965 per cent of light to ensure that there are minimal reflections on the watch face.
