The highly anticipated awards ceremony for the 2023 Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG) took place on November 9, 2023 at the Théâtre du Léman in Geneva, where the winners of this prestigious competition were announced

The results are in from the 23rd Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève, the award recognising the pinnacle of contemporary watchmaking, and referred to as the Oscars of watchmaking.

On November 9, at the Théâtre du Léman in Geneva, Jury President Nick Foulkes, the jury and the 847-member Academy convened to honour horological ingenuity and artistry. A total of 19 prizes were awarded, with the coveted “Aiguille d’Or” Grand Prix—the award for the best overall timepieces—going to Audemars Piguet for its Code 11.59 by Audemars Piguet Ultra-Complication Universelle RD#4.

The Special Jury Prize was awarded to Svend Andersen and Vincent Calabrese for founding AHCI, or Académie Horlogère des Créateurs Indépendants, a non-profit association that supports independent creators. Other winners spanned from heritage maisons such as Bovet 1822 and Bulgari to rising talents including Christopher Ward.

The 90 nominated watches are on display in Geneva until November 12. The winners will also appear at Dubai Watch Week from November 15 to 20, and the Kunsthaus Zurich from December 1 to 3.

Here are all the winners from GPHG 2023.
