Alex Ong and Chris Muto’s paths crossed six years ago when they were both juniors at Duke University. Alex, a real-estate developer, found love with Chris, a lead engineer at a start-up in Boston.

In the summer of 2016, Chris popped the question using the board game Settlers of Catan in front of the couple’s families. On 2 September 2017, the university sweethearts tied the knot in a rustic garden wedding at The Estate in Moraine Farm, Massachusetts in front of 150 close family and friends, some of whom flew in from different parts of the world. Guests enjoyed an al-fresco reception in a large, beautiful white sail tent illuminated by white string lights.
