These ladies radiate true class and elegance in their traditional Filipiniana dresses
The traditional María Clara gown, often referred to as Filipiniana dress or traje de mestiza is the aristocratic (upper-class) variant of the baro't saya. It is a unified dress that can easily be identified through its puffy, butterfly sleeves.
Like the baro't saya, the gown has four parts too: a blouse (camisa or baro), a kerchief worn over the shoulders (pañuelo, fichu, or alampay), a long skirt (saya), and a short rectangular cloth (patadyong or tapis) worn over the skirt.
In the modern age, many Filipinas still prefer wearing the traditional dress; we have listed some of them in this article.

1. Jess WIlson
Jess Wilson was a dashing June bride in her custom Filipiniana dress with a detachable skirt! In a soulful ceremony with her longtime boyfriend Moritz Gastl, the Sunnies Face co-founder and brand manager was seen wearing Vania Romoff.
The custom Filipiniana dress has sleeves with noticeable fringes at the bottom. In an Instagram post, Romoff explained that his design is an ode to the magical fringe terno.
"I felt it was appropriate to also share this gown designed by my grandmother in the 60s. Most of you know that she was a couturier as well and designed the most beautiful Filipinianas. I am lucky to have seen her craft and beautiful work first hand as it has inspired so many of my designs," the designer said.
Jess and Moritz tied the knot at the Sunlight Ecotourism Island Resort in Palawan, but their church wedding will also take place in Salzburg, Austria next year.
